ABOUT THE CRITTER

I have a very complex identity- maybe its due to my neurodivergence, but im not sure! My non-human identity can best be described as a 'coyote-like' being. Im not entirely sure if 'therian' or 'other-hearted' best describe me, as I am still looking into things, so everything is likely to change in the future (and thats ok, change is good).

I only recently learned about non-human identities and expereinces, which is ironic because I was experiencing a lot of signs of early 'awakenings' when I was younger. When I was in kindergarden, my teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I stated I wanted to be an animal but she made me change my answer to 'animal-sitter' (like someone who babysits/cares for animals). During this time, I was very alienated from my peers, too weird for most kids so I would always be by myself, imagining scenarios In my head where I was some sort of animal, usually a coyote, running through fields and *not* doing icky homework... Eventually, I found another girl my age who also wanted to be an animal too, specifically a cat, and we became friends. We would hang out during recess and "role-play". I specifically put "role-play" in quotes because it felt so real to me, even experiencing phantom limbs- like ears, paws, and a tail.

As I got older, I kinda pushed these experiences to the side until I found myself watching a video about furries and how "weird" they were many years ago. I became FASCINATED with furries, so much so I became one hehe. This led me down an online rabbit hole and eventually learning about the otherkin community.

Now this was many years ago, I am obviously not in kindergarden anymore and since then, I have learned more about my identity as a non-human!

Outside of therianthropy, I am interested in music, forensic science + crime scene investigation, microbiology, pokemon games (specifically the mystery dungeon series + conquest), and more! I will make a specific section for all of my interests :)
